What are my chances of getting into UCLA and UCI on a scale of 1-10?
UCI: 9/10 (unless you totally bombed the SATs)

UCLA: 7/10 (again, it depends on your SAT scores and admissions letter. But I think all those extracurriculars will help some.)
Reply:9.9 with an ACT 30+ or whatever the scale is now i have no idea. I'd say you lose 1 point of that 9.9 with every 2 points you lose on your standardised test score.

95 percentile of ACT SAT
Reply:pretty good, probably an 8.5
Reply:If you are a California resident, then I believe that graduating in the top 10% of your class guarantees you admission to some UC school. UCI is a real possibility for you.

With your current SAT scores, I think UCLA, UCSD, UC-Davis or Berkeley are out of the question. You will need to bring them upo 400-500 points to be likely to get in there. Your grades should not be a problem at any of those schools. If your poor SAT performance really is due to being sick -- you should be able to improve.
Reply:id say 7 in a half
Reply:If the check does not bounce, I think you will get in pretty much anywhere.
Reply:It sounds like you've got good credentials but don't be too upset if you don't get in. They are both very prestigious and highly selective.

As for your chance of getting in: It varies. I'd say decent. It depends on the number of people who apply at the same time as you and whether or not you meet up with the where the rest of the students are at.
Reply:UCI = yes.

UCLA = possibly, but more to the no.
