College chances?
You'll definately get into almost any college in your state with those credentials, You might even be Ivy league material. I don't know what your plans are afterwards but Grad school is notoriously harder than a 4 year school. you're good to go. You're practically bragging.
Reply:The GPA and class rank are great, but most of your extracurriculars have been done for only one year which makes it look like cramming. I think you have a good chance, but I think those SAT scores keep you from going any higher.
Reply:As long as your essay is good (esp. to overcome your weak SAT writing score), you should be a competitive candidate at UWashington and a fairly safe bet at Western Washington. Your GPA and class rank are definitely better than the average candidate's.

If I were you, I'd think really hard and try to come up with another activity you've done for more than 1 year other than just varsity bowling (it looks like you're just doing all these things to put something on your college application, which is not looked upon favorably).

If this answer seems familiar, it's b/c this question is familiar too.
Reply:First off, everything looks really good. What I would do is email that same thing to the admissions staff at the colleges you are looking at and they can tell you how good your chances are. They are usually willing to help out a bunch. Good luck.
Reply:A great essay and prayer.
Reply:I'd say you have pretty good chances. Here's wwhat they're looking for:

Academic Preparation Performance

While UWB looks at many factors in reviewing applications for admission, academic preparation and performance are still primary. Indicators of preparation and performance include:

An overall strong level of academic achievement as demonstrated by GPA, rigor of curriculum, standardized test scores, and academic distinctions

Taking advantage of college-preparatory courses during high school, such as Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Running Start, or college in the high school; or core subjects beyond the minimum required for college entrance

Taking full academic advantage of the senior year

Demonstrating a positive grade trend

Demonstrating habits associated with independent intellectual growth such as self-guided reading, engagement with other cultures, or research activities

Demonstrating exceptional artistic talent and achievement
