Legitimate Work at Home Ideas for a Stay-At-Home Mom?

I have an AA, and AS, a BS in Elem Ed in Lang Arts, a MS in Ed in C %26amp; I, a NM Teaching License, and experience in volunteering, tutoring, and substituting at the public schools. I am more than willing to work outside the field of education; however, I do not want to have to pay someone for a job or have my time wasted for mere pennies. I just want to stay at home with my young children until they are in school while supplementing my husband's income so we can pay our bills. Any ideas would definately be considered and much appreciated. Thanks!

Legitimate Work at Home Ideas for a Stay-At-Home Mom?
If you plan on doing this type of work I urge you to investigate it thoroughly before you get into it. Many are scams. For example, if they require money up front it is a scam. This site gives you the advantages and disadvantages of telecommuting or working at home.

If you still want to work at home you can check out the sites below. Please understand that I am not recommending them. I just came across these sites when I was researching the subject.

Finally you can also log in to the U. S. Department of Labor website and search there for work at home sites.

Reply:I’m a stay at home mom of two little girls under the age of 2. I work about 15 hours per week for a National Medical Benefits Company. I have been with the company for only 4 months and am now making over $2000 a month! I started off making about $400 my first month, $800 my second and now I am up over $2000. With this company you do make residual income so your income increased each month! Also if I continue on as I am going at the end of the year I will be making $5000 a month. My friend Becky started 2 years before me. She is now making $95,000 a year.

The best part is they have 401(k), direct deposit and a benefits package. In addition, there are no products, no selling, no cold calling and no telemarketing!

I absolutely love working with them and I can't believe I am making what I am making and in so few hours per week. The neat thing is there are other people on your team that you work with so you are never alone. The support is great but I have made wonderful friends as well. I think that’s important too!

I was scared at first because I know a lot of companies are not legit but this company is the number one National Medical Benefits Company in the US. They are a member of the US Chamber of Commerce. Also they were featured in “The New York Times”, “Wall Street Journal” and the “American Medical Review”. Even “60 Minutes” did a big special on them! Even more then all this is they are accepted at over 100,000 retailers nation wide. These are fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, Walgreens, CVS, Wal-mart and more. These companies would never work with a company that was any thing less then reputable. That made me feel very good about working with them!

I just felt very safe with them…. that and my friend was already making so much money with them!

Check them out! Just type in www.workathomeplus.net in your web browser.

Reply:Here are my suggestions on finding a legitimate opportunity that's right for YOU:

- Set your financial goals -- Are you just looking for extra income or a potential full-time income? How long (and hard) are you willing to work to meet your goal?

- Determine if you are looking for a JOB or a BUSINESS -- there is a distinct difference between the two and you want to focus your energies appropriately for the best results.

- If looking for a JOB, what are your marketable skills and previous experiences? If you are looking for a BUSINESS, go with your passions, things that interest and motivate you the most. Build a list and use that to begin your search. General rule of thumb: Never pay for a job (businesses, on the other hand, usually involve some expenses).

- Review your budget -- know ahead of time what you are willing and able to invest into your business, including start-up costs and ongoing maintenance and promotion.

- Find a rep to contact, check out their websites, ask questions, do your own independent research.

- I personally also check out a company's status and consumer feedback on www.bbb.org and www.ripoffreport.com

Hope this info helps get you started. Best wishes!

Reply:Yes you can do freelancing as an independent contractor, ie: a virtual assistant. I personally am a virtual assistant and I work from home around my children these days. There is so much information on this VA resource site for you. VAs can specialize in all sorts of niche areas depending on where their skills lie. So many businesses, especially small, are outsourcing all types of work to VAs.

Reply:Do you like to write. Because it sounds like you are very knowledgeable on a lot of topic and Associated Content is a great place to work. You get paid for each article you write and you can write on whatever you want.

There are a lot of people who make a living just working for AC. I only use it part time at the moment until my kids are back in school full day Sept. But I make good money there. They pay through Paypal with in 2 days of when your article is accepted which usually takes 5 days from the day you submit it. So basically you get paid 1 week after you write the article. You can submit as many articles in one day as you want.

There is a link to a writing blog in my profile that has the link to AC and more info on it if you are interested.

Hope this helps!

Reply:I relocated from CA to Ok, to help my son with his children, (his wife has been ill) I signed up to become an Avon Rep for $10.00, and it works well for me because I do all my business online, (his 3 boys 10, 8 %26amp; 6, keep me constantly busy). I have been doing it for 3 weeks, and its worked out perfect for me (I can get products up to 70% off, so it pays well, we have online training, chat rooms, etc... so no matter where you live, even though you're in business for yourself, you're not by yourself)

I have been working at home full-time since Nov 06. I am a Dir. in Qualification with Tupperware %26amp; I love it! We don't just do home parties anymore, there are lots of ways to build a business and earn an income. You can earn your starter kit free too!

I have replaced my previous full-time corporate America income and I am also earning a monthly car bonus. I'm more than halfway to earning my first free trip to Hawaii too! Aloha!!! I have a great, supportive %26amp; motivated team and love getting to help others!

While the income, car bonus, free products, trips and flexible schedule are awesome, the greatest rewards have been the boost of self-confidence, the friendships I have made and the fun and joy of getting to help others!

I wake up every day excited to go to work - because it doesn't feel like work anymore %26amp; I can get up anytime I want to! :-)

We have a wonderful compensation plan, lots of ways to earn an income besides doing home parties and a very supportive, resourceful %26amp; motivated team to help you as you build your business.

I would love to talk with you more about our opportunity if you are interested, please feel free to email me.

Be Blessed!
