Test anxiety? HELP PLEASE?!?!?!?

i think i have test anxiety. no matter how hard i study, and even when i know ALL the information on a test, i will get the test and go blank. but when i take a quiz, i can get good grades if i study. i try really hard in school. i can complete all the homework on my own and complete the quizes. but i cant remember ANYTHING on a test until the class is over, and my test is turned in. any help please?!?! my mom says maybe a tutor, but i dont have a problem with learning, just test taking. ( ALL MULTIPLE CHOICE TESTS) what should i do? if you have this, what do you do to prevent it from happening?

this is the only reason my grades are pretty much all c's ]:

Test anxiety? HELP PLEASE?!?!?!?
My niece had this very problem. We tried everything, but with no success. About a year ago, I gave her some self-hypnosis CDs that I'd bought to help my daughter with some anxiety she was having over school. A few months later, she told me she was starting to get A's in math (her absolute worst subject -- D's and F's usually). I was stunned and asked her what she was doing differently. She said nothing. She wasn't studying any harder or paying closer attention in class. She had no idea what happened. All she kept saying was, "Something feels different." Suddenly, I remembered the self-hypnosis CDs and I asked her if she was listening to them and she said yes, a few nights a week before bed. That's the only thing we can attribute this turnaround to. This year, she made onto the honor roll! Below is a link for the CDs I gave her, though I'm sure lots of people have self-hypnosis CDs for anxiety.

Reply:omg, i hav the exact same problem. there isnt much that you can do except review all the questions over all the time. try to go on sites that offer all the tests that have been released before in the past ( for example, if you have a test tomorrow in algebra, go onto a website that has a record of all the algebra tests that were released for the state testing in the past years)

good luck!

(ps, group studying really helps too)

Reply:You need to find out why you are always tired. First check your diet. Are you eating the healthy foods your body needs? Do you always eat breakfast? If you don't know what a healthy diet consists of, do some research on that and make sure you are eating well. If you have a good diet, you need to see a doctor about being tired.

As for taking multiple choice tests, have you studied test taking skills? If you can read all of the choices and rule some out as being clearly incorrect, that will make choosing the correct answer easier.

Read some information about test anxiety. There are lots of techniques you can use to help you overcome this problem.

See the websites listed below, or just google "test anxiety" yourself. You'll find lots of information.
