Ok i need help with my algebra homework %26amp; I only get it a little. Once I get the paper Im blanked out %26amp;%26amp; get all confuse. It would be great if you can simplify these:
1. 4(b+8)-7b
2. (t+8)-5t+4
3. 4(5+c)+9c
4. 4x+8x-3x+2x
I'll just give you these. It would be great if you can explain it to me. Email me if you would like to be my algebra tutor when I get math homework. xD

1. 4(b + 8) - 7b= (multiply the parenthesis)
4b + 32 -7b (do four minus seven, cuz the both have b)
32 + -3b or 32 - 3b (that's the answer)
2. (t+ 8) 5t +4 = (just get rid of the parenthesis, it is not needed)
t + 8 - 5t +4 = (put a one by the t: 1t -5t = -4t) +( 8 +4) +
-4t + 12
3. 4(5 +c) + 9c= (multiply everything in the parenthesis by four)
20 + 4c +9c= (add the c)
20 + 13c
4. 4x+8x- 3x+2x= 11x (just pretend like there are no x and do the math) the person above me is wrong on this one, the answer is 11x

4b+32-7b= -3b+32
2.(t+8)-5t+4. With this one you need to get rid of the parenthese. So it would be like this:
t+8-5t+4= -4t+12
3.4(5+c)+9c. With this one you need to time 4 to 5 and 4 to c then plus 4c to 9c. It would be like this:
20+4c+9c=20+13c
4.4x+8x-3x+2x. With this one you need to do multip first and then add and subtract. It would be like this:
12x-3x+2x=9x+2x=11x
Here the answer for all of them:
1.-3b+32
2. -4t+12
3.20+13c
4.11x

You will multiply the 4 times b and 4 times +8. that will become 4b + 32.
Then you will subtract the 7b.
4b + 32 - 7b.
You only have 4b. You have to take away 7b. Once you have taken away 4b, you will still have to take away 3 more giving you -3b.
Answer: 32 - 3b
2. (t+ 8) - 5t + 4
You are not multiplying anything by something within parentheses in this problem so it is more straightforward.
Group together the like terms:
t - 5t and 8 + 4
t - 5t = -4t (Here again you have to take away more t's than you have, so you will go into the negative numbers.
8 + 4 = 12
So the answer is: -4t + 12 or 12 - 4t
3. 4(5 + c) + 9c
You are multiplying something times an amount within parentheses in this problem. You have to do that multiplication first.
4 x 5 and 4 x c for 20 + 4c
Then add the 9c.
20 + 4c + 9c = 20 + 13c
4. 4x + 8x - 3x + 2x
All of these are like terms (x's) so they can just be added up and subtracted.
4x + 8x = 12x
then -3x = 9x
then + 2x = 11x
Answer: 4x + 8x - 3x + 2x = 11x
Reply:for the first three you use distributive property and then you combine the like term and then thats it remember that if it comes out to -3b+24 then you cant add them together because of the variable so here what you would do for the first one:
4(b+8)-7b the thing you do is you multiply everything by 4 in the parenthesis so then it comes out to
4b+24-7b then combine like terms meaning you combine the one with variables with the ones with variables and the one with numbers with numbers and then you get
