Homework help trolling on Yahoo Answers?

Does it annoy you guys that certain youngsters consider Yahoo Answers a free tutoring tool?

Some questions that are unbelieveably easy come up and for certain if a guy/girl cared to listen in the class or read the chapter in the book, there would be no need to ask.

But who cares? You don't have to read, just ask Answers and folks will have an answer for you.

I can understand hard questions: I have been in a situation a time or two when I was just banging my head against the wall and there was nobody to help me. I understand!

But c'mon! isn't it time you guys do your regualr homework yourself and stop doin this?

I encourage y'all to answer "Read your book!" and "Think about it! It is easy!" to this type of questions.

Peace out.

What really aggravates me is when they ask for websites on a particular subject and said subject is one with millions of websites and articles. Seriously, I think the internet has made students far more lazy than ever. No one *coughmegan*cough* wants to be responsible for their own work or time management and do it themselves. The easiest and laziest way to do it is go to Yahoo and get others to do it for you. Pathetic.

Even when I used to be ridiculously busy with school (college) I would still make time every chance I got to get the information I needed. There is just no excuse for being too lazy to do the work yourself.
Reply:My wife would agree with you lol. I always over-analyze things. Thanks for the feedback. =) Report It

Reply:I have to disagree. I was in a class where we had to survey people. There was 30 surveys that needed to be conducted and each of them had to have 3 or more people answer them. I work full time and go to school full time. I also have a small child. It was hard for me to go to the mall and stand there for hours asking people to take a survey. Y!Answers was a great place for me to post my homework for the people who had time to answer and get points. It was win-win.
Reply:There's a huge difference between helping someone and doing their work for them.

I'm happy to help people out and I can usually tell from the question if they've attempted to find the answer. On the other hand, If they post a question verbatim or don't show they've made any kind of effort, I move on to the next question.

What's unfortunate is there are people that are more than happy to do their work for them which is why they keep coming back.
Reply:I hate when they retype the question from the text verbatim, with no text in the elaboration window, no context, no clue as to where they're getting stuck.

Makes me think they aren't bothering to think about it, so why should I?

I just don't answer them.
Reply:no, I am always glad to help out, that's why I am here.
Reply:Agreed. Whats your question though?
