next year i'm going to back to the school i came from and the school i'm going back to is a really hard school! I kept getting C's %26amp; D's!!! will Sylvan help me?

Does Sylvan Tutoring really work?
Ive been going to sylvan for 4yrs now. it does help and you dont have to stay for that long. i just have troubles and my parents want me to stay there until my junior yr in high school. its kinda pricey but its worth it. i used to get D's and C's in math and now i make B's. its not really one- on -one tutoring if thats what your looking for. its 3 people per table and they give you problems to solve. if you get the problem(s) wrong they explain it to you and they help you with some examples. i say try it,give it a shot =)
Reply:nope, first of all its expensive, secondly ask your teachers fro extra help, or stay in for extra help. your teachers can help you WAY more then some random tutor.

Anyways, I have never done Sylvan, but I have had a couple friends who have. It worked for both of them, so that's all I got.
Reply:yeah, i went there, and it didn't help me at all. it just focused on the totally wrong material, and the rate at which i was learning, i was 3 months behind at sylvan than at school. i know this isn't what you want to hear, but i would suggest talking to the teachers personally and see if there is anything they can do with you after school, because that is what i did, and they knew how to help me, and it worked really well.
Reply:NO it wont straight up Ive tried it before... KUMON is a better training center and it actually trains you through repition...

Reply:Well, my sister had a different tutoring that was on TV and that really helped her. I don't think it will be bad if you take a shot at it, my friend did it and she said it really worked
