Dating international boys?

I'm a 20 year old girl and I attend university in the US. I help tutor international students in English. There is one boy from Spain, that I've really gotten to know as a friend. Last night, I went over to his dorm and we made out... it was a little awkward at first, and we almost had sex (I had stopped him b/c I didn't feel comfy and I'm still a virgin). He asked me if I wanted to be his "gringa," and I didnt know what to say!!! After a long pause, he said... "no?" and then brushed it off by saying he was joking. I like him a lot, but I don't know if i want to go out with him. I take relationships seriously.. and I'm afraid we'd never be able to achieve that deep relationship i want. He speaks English well.. but it's just different than being with an American guy. I'm also a Spanish major, so I know how to speak in Spanish.. and he helps me out in my classes as well. I just dont know if he's being genuine or not. Is it a good idea to date international guys? What are the pros/cons?

anyway im kidding, i think its great cuz u get to know more, just try it, spanish guys might know how to treat a lady better than an american
