Today was the end of the third quarter and it turns out my geometry grade in this quarter was a D. My grade last quarter was also a D, and I had a C first quarter, so totalled up my final grade is a 70. I have one quarter left of school and I'm right on the borderline between getting a C or a D as my overall geometry grade. Do any of you have some advice on how to do well in geometry and not fail? I can't get a tutor right now. Do you have any other suggestions for studying and how to better prepare myself? Thanks.
Geometry Issues - Please help me!?
I also didn't do that well in geometry. All I can recommend is going in and working with the teacher or other classmates.
Some tips I could recommend that I used were writing down the steps of different proofs trying to memorize the postulates and such.
Good luck! I hope you pass!
Reply:Extra Credit helps...Maybee if u bomed tests u could correct tem for a few points..missing assignments? Turn em in for a l8 grade
Reply:Go to your teacher and get him to explain the problems to you until you understand them. Do this enough and you really will understand it. And your teacher will respect you for being proactive and making the best effort you can.
Reply:do you have a peer tutoring program at your school? if so, you really need to sign up and/or ask your teacher for help
otherwise you seem pretty screwed
geo is actually pretty easy. just memorize some proofs and you're good. and read the instructions in the book. if you don't get it, refer to your examples
Reply:Well I am taking Geometry this year and I feel your pain. It is tough to keep up grades so my suggestions is to do your homework in a quiet space every night and when you know there is going to be a test, study!!!
Good Luck!!!
Reply:One of the best things you can do is search You Tube. It might sound a little strange, but there really are people out there who put videos on the internet about how to do math. If you're ever in need of help, try that or just search with google. There are tons of pages out there that will explain all of it.
Geometry is all about memorization, so I guess just putting some extra time aside would be helpful. Having a math wizard for a friend wouldn't be a disadvantage...
Best of luck!
Jade.
