Why r they making me feel like crap?
I'm curious what your other grades are like. My son is an honors student that has started getting Bs in calculus. At first I was upset because I know he is very intelligent but gets lazy when it comes to studying. I, too, have insisted he go to tutoring because his grade is a low B(82) which is just one low test grade away from a C. One of the main reasons I am so concerned is he has his sights on a university that is very competitive. He needs to be in the top 10% of his class to apply. His high school is also competitive. The GPA of the top 10% for the past 5 years has been about a 3.8 on a 4.0 scale. I only want what's best for him. I don't require such a high grade in English because it isn't a strong subject for him but he has managed to keep a 90 in it.

It wasn't the wisest thing for your father to yell at you in front of your friends. Perhaps when things have calmed down, ask to speak to him and let him know how it bothered you. If he loves you, he will try not to do it again. It sounds like he just wants what is best for you but may have a hard time figuring out how he should help you.
Reply:tell them they should stop panicking and that there are alot of girls your age who are bringing home alot worse than a" b "in maths. and that they should be grateful for the daughter they have.
Reply:because they care about you and they want you to be as succesful and smart as you can be. i know how it feels though. it's a little overwhelming.
Reply:I can see where they would get upset over a lower grade, but not for a B-....thats only a few points. They're going a little overboard.
Reply:they're thinking that they're doing the best for you..

in your eyes its not..

they're only being protective because they love you and want the best for you..

maybe you sit down and have a chat with them bout how your feeling..
