Serious Math Problem?!! HELP!?

Hey everyone, so like i just got back my star testing, if you know what it is.

so i got advanced in all subjects (history, literature, and science), but MATH..

omg i cant even start on how bad i flunked it

the scores go as- advanced, proficient, basic, below basic, and far below basic

and i got below basic, i mean that is just so bad, i cant even like speak...i know i have to tell my parents eventually but thats what not im worried about.

how can i improve my math? i suck big-time at math. im in algebra, so i think i should hire a math tutor or something because im in the cheer squad and i cant risk getting any C's at all, or my parents will take me out.

HELP?!!

Serious Math Problem?!! HELP!?
First, get over your fear.

Then seek help from other students that are good at it, or even a teacher who could help.

Ask them to break it down into a visual that you can understand.

Alot of times it isn't that you don't know the stuff, it's that you can't apply it.

Keep an open mind, and study as often as you are able. Algebra isn't too hard once you get all of the equations and formulas down. It takes some practice, and the more you do it, the better off you will be.

As for telling your parents, I would explain to them that you are in need of some help with understanding it, and that you will seek that help either from them or others. I am sure that they would rather see that you are trying to do that right thing instead of trying to keep it from them.

You can also try some online tutorials that may help.

Reply:A math tutor can help, but it's not guaranteed.

Paying attention in class (not just listening, but paying attention) will definitely help.

Don't be afraid to talk to your teacher about it, and see if they have any recommendations. Maybe you just need someone that can explain it in a different way.
